About Your Instructor

Hi! My name is Brandon Apol. I am a former public school teacher turned computer programmer! I live with my wife in a cabin in central Alaska. I enjoy working hard, spending off time with my wife, rock/ice climbing, cross country skiing, playing drums and guitar, and pretty much anything outdoors. I taught music in Alaskan public schools for several years before I transitioned over to computer science, and I love the work culture at Coding Temple. I’ve also traveled pretty extensively, since my wife is a flight attendant. I like just about all music I come across, and I really mean that, so feel free to send me recommendations! I also love to laugh, so feel free to add comedy in your code, too.
